How to Redeem your Discount Codes:
Sometimes the location of the discount code box can be hard to find when navigating the online checkout, so here’s a quick guide. Please follow each step carefully to avoid missing out on savings.
Step 1:
Step 1 is to select your holiday, flight, hotel, etc. If you know where you want to go you can use their search bar at the top of the website. If not, use the menu links above that to explore their different offerings!
Step 2:
Once you’ve had a look through their different options and you’ve selected one that you’d like to book click the yellow ‘Continue’ button to the right to begin the checkout process.
Step 3:
Click the yellow ‘Continue’ button again on the next page. If you want to, review the details of your booking below first.
Step 4:
If you are booking a flight the next page will have lots of options for upgrades such as extra leg room and more baggage allowance. Select any options that you’d like, and scroll all the way to the bottom of the screen to find your yellow ‘Continue’ button again.
Step 5:
The next step will be your hotel, if you are booking one. You can choose if you’d like any meals included, and what type of room you would like. Most of their package deals include Half Board (Breakfast & Dinner) in the price. Again, scroll down to the bottom to find your yellow ‘Continue’ button.
Step 6:
The next page has extras such as transfer from the airport to your hotel, insurance, parking, etc. One more time, scroll down to the bottom to find the yellow ‘Continue’ button.
Step 7:
Finally, the page where you enter the discount code! Below the ‘Holiday Summary’ section is another one labelled ‘Discount Code’, place your code in that box and hit the ‘Apply’ button. It will let you know right away if the code is valid or not.
A Little Background Info on TUI UK:
- Thomson was founded as part of the Thomson Travel Group in 1965, originally holding the title “Thomson Tour Operations.” As their reputation grew, they ran a series of TV commercials featuring their 3 and 4 night holidays in Majorca for a staggeringly cheap price of only £19 (that was back in the 70’s). This and other closely priced packages generated a large amount of interest in the winter sun market. After seeing exponential success the company was floated on the London Stock Exchange in 1998 with a value of £1.7 billion.
- Other products soon followed such as Cruising with SS Ithaca; Lakes, Mountains and Fjords; Vilas and Apartments and Wintersports, and more. Around the same time is when they switched to their new name and new business model. Under new branding and strong quality assurance at unbeatable price points they began to dominate the travel industry and still do today.
- Thomson (now TUI UK) likes to do things differently, sticking out from the deeps sea of competitors. Currently they have 650 stores around the country and manage the UK’s largest travel website. Their site consists of over 2,000 hotel and destination videos, thousands upon thousands of reviews, and informative podcasts and images to assist in planning your trip. You are also free to check out a large portion of their hotels right from the comfort of your own home using Google Earth.
- Once you pick out an appealing holiday (they’ve got something for everyone), just give them a call to tailor your 9-12 night vacation or go for a more traditional 7 or 14 day stay.
Customer Reviews:
- “We took the Dreamliner flight to Mexico. There were no faults to the plane, and we had plenty of leg room. The entertainment was great, with plenty of movies to watch or games play. There was also plenty of food and drink offered as well as good mood lighting.”
- “We love the Dreamliner. It’s light and airy with little internal noise. The cabin crew is great. The in-flight meals were tasty and the complimentary drinks were most welcome. All of the TUI agents in the UK and abroad in the hotels we stayed at were great people!”
- “Our premium economy seating was great with amazing service. The seats were very spacious. If you’re doing a long haul flight, I would highly recommend.”
- “Boarding and flight was perfect. The service, seating (we paid extra for more legroom), food and beverage was excellent. Keep up the good work Thomson!”

Cruises with TUI.co.uk
- One of the most popular offerings from Thomson/TUI is their cruise packages, which travel to over 120 destinations around the world. Whether you want to head north to take in the breathtaking views of the Norwegian Fjords or head south to Havana and spend some time in the sun they have a cruise for you.
- So what makes these packages so popular? Well, on TUI ships all-inclusive is the standard meaning that you do not need to pay any extra for food or most activities while on-board the ship.
- I have also heard that they are now including cider and Prosecco drinks as well! The on-board currency is sterling, and they use a cash free system.
- Anything ‘extras’ that you purchase are charged to your room and you will settle the bill at the end of your cruise. There is no tipping on-board, unless you really feel that a crew member has gone far above the call of duty in serving you.
- You also have the option of their ‘Cruise and Stay’ packages, where you enjoy a cruise to a destination and stay at a hotel or resort.
- This includes the TUI Sensatori 5-star resorts in beautiful sun destinations like Mexico, Tenerife, and the Caribbean.
- Sensatori resorts were built around the idea of providing the very best in location, dining, and activities.
